Wire Rope System 4020

Simplified version of 4030, e.g., for cramped conditions. At the same time, an ideal system for structuring and subdividing long, high walls with climbing plant arrays. Please also use the indications for choosing a suitable style on the climbing plants page.

The pre-assembled kits are suitable for all wall types, but not for insulation, cladding, and thin-walled concrete elements. Alternatives can be put together in all cases.

Height x breadth: by slim arrangement up to 3 m x approx. 0.4 m (with a heavy/massive kit 4.4 m x 0.4 m). With a broader arrangement to approx. 2.0 m x 1.0 m (with a heavy / massive kit 3.5 m x 1.0 m). Distance between the wires: approx. 15 -40 cm, with a broader arrangement more. The middle horizontal rope should be installed somewhat above the middle of the system in accordance to the "golden section". Base approx. 0.3, 1.2 m over the ground.

Variations: For larger breadths basic form 7010 is more suitable because it fans out the plant drives from one base point to the desired breadth. With more rope and holders the basic form is arbitrarily expandable, e.g., as a "climbing ladder". Then approx. every 1.5 m (2.2 m) inter-holders need to be provided. Please inquire if necessary. Of course the system can also be arranged horizontally analogously to 8010.

Installation: is carried out as pointed on the graphics. Please, take into account the assembly tips (above). For "golden section" p. above.

Vine guidance: See graphics. For Grapevines in pots or on small espalier with circular canes particularly for varieties were the buds are far apart, and have strong upright growing canes. Bind or weave the green drives around, and on to the two vertical ropes (R 01). Also for vertical cordons (Schnurbaum) with an off-centre growth. The departures are then respectively arranged to grow towards the other parallel rope. The distance between the two vertical ropes here should be no more than 30 cm (R 02). With a wavelike gudiance the departures should if possible always be arranged to grow towards the opposite parallel rope (R 03). Lead the stem of the vine so that it is 50 cm beneath the bottom edge of the growing system or trellis, no higher.
