An old, high-quality variety with long flower clusters (up to approx. 40 cm). The re-flowering is insignificant, but the yellow autumn colouring is good. Blooms at the same time as the foliage, which means that light green colours are also visible during the main flowering period. 'Rosea' is suitable for facades and pergolas if there is enough space for the rather long flower clusters. 'Rosea' came to Europe somehow and at some point from Japan, has a medium-strong fragrance and twines round to the left ("clockwise"). Poisonous seeds.
For location, pruning, training, climbing aids, structural damage, etc., see "Asian" wisteria.
