Product sheet

Description / Price

  • PH 00040 for 4 mm of cable - Price

Compression sleeves are used in exceptional cases for esthetically attaching ropes to wall brackets with more than 4 cm distance from the wall, as an alternative to a (removable) mounting with cable clamps. Such ferrules are also suitable for training branch points and connecting wires. Please use the General Information section if necessary to rope clamps, etc..

Best used with Nicopress special pliers. For any Nicopress sleeve three single pressings are necessary. The crimping sleeves are with the front (3 mm rope) or the first seen second or M-Press track or p press track (for 4 mm steel cable) adopted the special crimping pliers and squeezed in this position. First, squeeze in the middle.

The formation of loops is the wire cable as described, prepared manually, pretensioned by means of clamping vise by hand and secured. This will require two clamping vices (fig. 06). Then the ferrule is compressed.

Special Features

A pressing of prestressed cables in wall clearances of less than 4 cm is not possible with ferrules usually because too little space remains when preparing the press jaws. Cable crimping sleeves once crimped can’t be undone or reused as connections.  The associated cables may not be tensioned at the attachment point. Therefore, screw clamping fixtures may need to be incorporated in the course of the cable.
