Application

For 4 and 3mm cable, standard mount for our heavy kits, in accordance with the specifications of the respective wire rope system (if you bought a pre-assembled set) and with the respective climbing plants. Simple or crosswise cable guidance. The distance from mount to mount should ideally not exceed 1.8 m with horizontal cable lines and 2.2 m with vertical cable lines. For all types of masonry, but especially for porous lightweight perforated bricks (hollow-bricks/"Poroton") and sensitive edge areas in which expansion pressure cannot be built up, as with WM 12153. Wall distance adjustable during adhesion, recommended 7 cm, maximum 9 cm (then 3 mm of rope). Please refer to the section on cable mounts for appropriate selection of cable trellis fittings.

Recommended Tools

Hammer drill HB 16210 for all drillings with or without sieve sleeves.

Mounting

If necessary, please follow the guidelines we've provided for drilling and the instructions for composite mortar. For optimal sealing, the surface should be reasonably flat or be made so (sanded down). With hollow masonry, use (in addition) sieve rawl plugs/anchors; if installing extra long SD 16130, then drill 16 mm and approx. 140 mm deep. Slide the moving parts of the cross mount forward, press in the composite mortar, rotate the shaft to insert, position it and, if necessary, secure it against sagging from below (photo). With a cloth remove any mortar that swells out. After setting/drying, slide the spring washer, cover plate/disc, and gasket towards the wall and clamp by tightening the lock nut. Further installation carried out as described for heavy kits.

Remarks

For all special cases, the cross mounts are available with different shaft lengths at no extra charge. For solid wood (timber), it is better to order WM 12161. For through-hole installation on supports of carports etc., a bolt ('counter pressure') set is available.

Origin
