Wire Rope Trellis System 5030

Trellis system with square or rectangular 'meshes, very versatile.' Applicable in most cases except with plants which prefer very close / dense arrangements (e.g. certain clematis). Each point where ropes intersect should be enforced with a wall mount; the mesh-size tends to be larger than with the related basic form 5040. An inexpensive but less resilient alternative is the 4040. For help in selecting a suitable construction style, please refer to the guidelines in our section on climbing plants (see the charts at the bottom of each plant profile).

Our pre-assembled kits are suitable for all wall types with the exception of walls with external insulation, cladding, and thin-walled concrete elements. Alternatives can be put together in all cases.

Height x Width: for preassembled kits up to 1.6 m x 1.6 m (for Medium and Heavy / Massive Kits- up to 2.2 m x 2.2 m). Base point: ~0.5 - 1.2 m above the ground.

Extension: With the same number of wall mounts but more wire rope, field dimensions up to 4.0 x 4.0 m (up to 6.6 m x 5.4 m with Heavy Kits) are also possible. With more wire rope *and* more wall mounts, the climbing net can be extended as desired. Please inquire if necessary. In the case of very large "mesh widths" -- e.g. when routing around windows~ choose a system like 8060.

Installation: as shown in the diagrams; please also refer to the mounting tips above (click on a kit for details).

Vine training: See diagrams. For light and medium Kits- can be arranged as a small trellis with two-sided flat arch (R 01) or as a small fan (R 02); for larger mesh widths (as for heavy kits), then as freely arranged garlands (R 03).
