Wire Rope Trellis System 5040

Cable system with square or rectangular "meshes," very versatile. The system is attached to the wall via wall mounts at all outer grid points; the inner intersection points are secured with floating cross clamps. It is a less expensive but less sturdy variation of the 5030... with fewer wall mounts, drillings, etc.. Please also refer to the guidelines in the climbing plants section for support in choosing a suitable construction (see the charts at the bottom of each plant profile).

Our pre-assembled kits are suitable for all wall types with the exception of walls with external insulation, cladding, and thin-walled concrete elements. Alternatives can be put together in all cases.

Height x Width: with preassembled kits: up to ~2.2 m x 2.2 m (with Heavy / Massive Kit- up to 4.0 m x 4.0 m). Base of trellis: ~0.5 - 1.2 m above the ground. Depending on the needs of the climbing plants plants, the meshes can be small (up to ~30 cm), medium-sized (up to ~50 cm), or with extension (see below), also large (up to ~180 cm). For narrower grid spacing, basic form 5050 is less expensive.

Expansion: With the same number of wall mounts but more wire rope, climbing nets up to 6.0 m x 6.0 m (up to 8.8 m x 7.2 m with Heavy Kits) and also rectangular arrangements as in the case of 8010 (see photo) are also possible. If necessary, free-floating cross points should then be replaced by wall mounts (for stability). With more cable *and* more mounts, the basic form can be expanded as desired / required (see also the related system 8030.) Please take into consideration the special features of high greening and also lightning protection.

Installation: as shown in the diagrams; please also refer to the mounting tips in chart above (click on a kit for details).

Vine Training: See diagrams. For small and medium mesh sizes, a small trellis form with a double flat arch (R 01), fan shapes (R 02); also as a cordon as a double-armed palmette (R 03) or with several vines as single trunks / stems (without picture).
