'Nelly Moser' is probably the most common clematis, and has given rise to countless hybridisations, none of which has ever surpassed it. It is the second most famous clematis after the 'Jackmanii.' It is an historic hybrid (ca. 1900) from France. Flower colours range from creamy-white to soft pink with deep dark pink veins; before the veins fade in the sun (turning almost entirely white-- see below), the flowers resemble the clematis hybrid 'Dr Ruppel.' Flower diameter: 16 - 18 cm. Included in our hybrid-assortment for its light colour. For low trellises and walls up to about 3 m high, well suited for potting. 'Nelly Moser' flowers in May / June and August / September. Our stock is mildew resistant, sourced from a Danish breeder. Refer to our general information for guidance on location, pruning, suitable cable systems etc..
