Wire Rope Trellis System 1040

This simple, universal basic trellis form is often used for the flanking of downspouts and when several are used, they can be combined side by side to form parallel green 'strands.' By rotating this system 90°, you get a system similar to 1060. To select a suitable construction style for your plant, please view the guideline charts in our climbing plants section (at the bottom of each plant profile).

Our pre-assembled kits are suitable for all wall types with the exception of walls with external insulation, cladding, and thin-walled concrete elements. Specific attachment devices can be adapted to your needs in all these cases (follow the links).

Height: maximum 4.5 m; with heavy / massive kit: 6.6 m. Base point: ~ 0.3 - 1.2 m above the ground. Please note the special features pertaining to high greening.

Installation: As shown in the diagrams. Please also note the mounting tips (in chart above: click on link).

Vine Training: See diagrams. For a simple garland, see (R 01)-- because of the height of growth, the lower part of the plant might carry less foliage. Therefore, it's better to plant 2 vines - and different varieties - in one hole (quiver planting) and then guide 2 offset vertical cordons (R 02), by which one vine will green the lower half of the system and the other, the upper half. Even better are two parallel strains from separate planting holes, see (R 03).
