Wire Rope Trellis System 2060

This is the basic form for angled greening over windows, doors, etc.. For choosing a suitable cable system, please also refer to the guidelines in our climbing plants section (charts at the bottom of each plant profile).

Our pre-assembled kits are suitable for all wall types, with the exception of walls with outer insulation, cladding, and thin-walled concrete elements. Alternatives can be put together in all cases.

Height x Breadth: max. approx. 3.2 m x 3 m (4 m x 3.6 m with a Heavy  /Massive Kit). Distance between the three ropes: ~20 -35 cm, (see also below under: "vine training"); with climbing roses- 50 cm. For a harmonious design of the cable system: the short horizontal "cable bridge" on the three vertical ropes is arranged so that it is slightly above the center of the middle vertical rope. It then appears slightly elevated in the sense of the "golden ratio." The short vertical "rope bridge" on the horizontal ropes in turn is to be placed so that it lies in the center of the middle horizontal rope. Base point: ~0.6 to 1.2 m above the ground. With more mounts and cross clamps, the basic shape is expandable to 4 or 5 parallel ropes; then ~every 1.5 m -1.8 m an inter-mount should be set (or in each case, a short "rope bridge" from two mounts and one or more cross clamps).

Installation: as shown in the diagrams. Take into account the mounting tips above (click on a kit in chart for details). Please contact us with any questions.

Vine Training: See diagrams. Vertical cordon in combination with horizontal cordon (R 01). Short cut; upper area also medium-length or long. It is better when two plants are in one planting hole to separate the vertical and horizontal zones, especially with greater heights and/or widths, whereby the angled vine is guided in the vertical area with an unleafy trunk (R 02). If the vertical vine is replanted later, two separate planting pits should be used (R 03). The distance between the horizontal ropes should be rather long, i.e. 30-35 cm, depending on the internode spacing typical of the variety. 4 - 5 horizontal ropes are often still more favourable than 3; then the distance can be shorter.
