Wire Rope Trellis System 2030

This is an economical version of the basic form 2050 and is used when, due to narrow / cramped conditions, three horizontal cables won't fit. The vertical lead wire often only serves to guide the plant upwards, and the short vertical wire in the middle offers the plants an additional 'grip.' Please also refer to the guidelines in our climbing plants section for support in choosing a suitable construction style (see the charts at the bottom of each plant profile).

Our pre-assembled kits are suitable for all wall types, with the exception of walls with external insulation, cladding, and thin-walled concrete elements. Alternatives can be put together in all cases.

Height x Breadth: max. 3.5 m x 3.0 m (with a Heavy / Massive Kit: 4.0 m x 3.6 m); distance between the horizontal ropes:  ~15 -50 cm. Base point: ~0.3- 1.2 m above the ground. With more cable and mounts the basic form is expandable as desired. Then a mount should be set in between ~every 1.5 m to 1.8 m.

Installation: as shown in the diagrams. Take into account the mounting tips (click on link above in chart for details); with a middle 'classic' kit, observe special case 01. Please contact us with any questions.

Vine Training: See diagrams. Horizontal-cordon with attachment or insertion of green shoots on the top rope (R 01). If with the leafy stem/trunk, then as a garland. It is optimal when two plants are in a planting pit with separation of the vertical cordon and horizontal cordon, especially at greater heights and/or widths, whereby the angled vine is then guided vertically with the un-leafy trunk. With two plants in one pit or, in the case of replanting the vertical vine later,  two separate planting pits (R 02) should be used. Another option: 2 parallel garlands from one vine... then the minimum distance of the two lines above should be approx. 70 cm (R 03).
