Wasps and grapes

Wasps can sometimes be a problem, depending on the year and the location. Wasps are mainly looking for water on hot days, but they also like the sweet grapes. Attracted by the scent, wasps come flying around, open the berries and may sting when disturbed while feasting.

Measures against wasps on grapes

Dense nets help against wasps, for example gauze or fly screens. The nets can cover whole grape areas or bound around individual grapes. Wasp traps won't solve the problem as they tend to attract even more wasps!
