The trellis was constructed by FassadenGrün, from the initial design right through to installation. The exterior walls, which were thought to be solid, proved problematic because Heraklith panels (‘Sauerkrautplatten’) had been installed beneath the roughcast from the GDR era. Furthermore, the walls were partially tapered, meaning they became thicker towards the bottom. The anchoring therefore had to be carried out individually at each fixing point, mostly using modified “Mini” trellis brackets (AS 06120) and additional wooden shims to create a larger contact surface on the delicate wall.
