These fittings are a cost-effective solution for fixing medium-sized stainless steel trellises with 6 mm wires to a facade. Also suitable for the "small trellis" (5 mm wire thickness), the trellis bars are then slightly wrapped with teflon tape or insulating tape at the fixing points to increase their thickness and enable non-slip clamping (to hold the wire firmly in place). For light loads only. Wall distance 30 mm. For almost all wall surfaces, such as concrete, natural stone, solid and hollow masonry, solid wood or wall panels. Please also refer to the general information on how to mount steel trellises securely.
Drill a hole 8 mm wide and 6 cm deep. Alternatively, the screw can be fitted with a 6 mm rawl plug, but will not achieve the same stability. Smaller screws and rawl plugs can be used, especially with concrete surfaces, to reduce the size of the bore hole to 5 mm. After drilling, the plugs are inserted in the hole (no plugs for solid wood, but pre-drill a 3 mm hole). Screw on the fittings and then press the trellis into the clips of the fitting. You can mark the drilling points easily by clipping the fittings onto the trellis first and use this to mark the exact bore positions before drilling.
