Stainless steel A2. Clamping head (d = 18 mm) with grub screw, M8 shaft, hexagonal flange nut, convex thrust washer with laminated seal, large cover disc d=60 for the drill hole, weatherproof foam gasket, and integrated nylon threaded dowel. The head is also available separately. >>>Price.
An inexpensive way to install a stainless steel trellis on a a facade with insulation (External Thermal Insulation System (ETICS) panels) at least 10 cm thick. For hard foam panels, polystyrene ("styro") panels, soft wood fibre boards etc.. Not suitable for mineral wool and other foamy or loose insulating materials. No need to cut open the facade, and no thermal bridge! Light loads only. Distance to wall 40 mm. Please read the general information on how to securely fasten a trellis to a facade.
Step one: drill the outer plaster layer of the insulation panel (using a drill bit d = 8 mm - 12 mm) (Fig. 02). Step two: drill the insulation material with a 16 mm bit, 15 - 25 mm deep, without percussion, to guide the plug. (In soft wood fibre boards: drill 90 mm deep with the 16 mm bit). Use a 13 mm open-end wrench and carefully screw in the fitting (mount) while applying pressure from behind with the ball of the thumb, while using work gloves (Fig. 03) until the thread takes hold, and align it vertically and horizontally. Screw the fitting further in, constantly checking the vertical and horizontal alignment and correcting it by applying lateral pressure. Turn the fitting until the foam seal is compressed (Fig. 04). The large cover plate must be in contact with the plaster in order to act as a pressure plate. Once all the fittings have been installed, the trellis is placed in the grooves of the mounts, aligned and fixed using the grub screws.
To tighten the grub screws, hold the fitting with a wrench on the flat nut while screwing the grub screws tight.
Made in Germany: head from Saxony, shaft from Lower Saxony, thrust washer from North Rhine-Westphalia, plug system from Bavaria, foam gasket/seal from Thuringia, small parts imported from Asia.
