The sources used by FassadenGrün

The FassadenGrün website also uses external sources, which are listed here. For some particularly important images, image rights were even purchased from universities, photo libraries, etc. However, many photos are freely accessible, and as we show below, you can access the sources and obtain further information about a motif.

A note on copyright

Our image archive contains thousands of our own images as well as those from external sources. The images are mainly processed during the winter months (when we have less to do) by our own employees. We strive to work accurately, but we are not scientists or librarians. Errors are therefore possible! This applies to the assignment of images to geographical locations, the chronological classification of motifs (years) and the source references themselves. If you notice any copyright infringements, please notify us and we guarantee that we will correct them. Please note our ‘correction guarantee’ and refrain from issuing warnings. This is a non-profit project, an additional service for our visitors and customers, from which we do not earn any money.

More information about individual motifs

In our captions, you will sometimes find a link that allows you to view the original image from external sources. If this does not work, you can read the respective file name with a little skill. For the photo at the top, it is:

df_bs_0000899-brueck-sohn-strehla-1898-b-765.jpg

Additional information can sometimes be found in the file name. In the file names of external images, we have always included the original name or numerical code of the source, which can be found at the beginning of the file name. You can use this code to access the image at the original source and find out more details. In this case, the source is 12 – the ‘Deutsche Fotothek’ (SLUB Dresden). If you enter ‘df_bs_0000899’ in the search field on this institution's homepage, you will be taken to the motif and find additional information (see screenshot on the right), which may be helpful to you!
