This timber-framed house was to have fruit trellises on two sides. The plan was to plant ‘Vereinsdechant’, ‘Gute Luise’ and ‘Stuttgarter Geißhirtle’ pears, as well as an ‘Orangered’ apricot. Installing the rope systems was somewhat complicated because they could only be fixed along the vertical axes of the wooden posts (see the drawing at the start of the photo gallery). These axes had to be precisely determined beforehand.
