Square timbers made from robinia heartwood, ‘finger-jointed’, comprising 30–75 cm long pieces glued together in a comb-like pattern using PU adhesive from JOWAT (certified for ‘load-bearing timber construction’). 2–3 sides planed, 1–2 sides finely sawn, all edges chamfered. “Air-dried” quality, wood moisture content 12–14%. May have natural variations, rough patches, etc. Slight warping emphasises the rustic character of the wood; colour variations highlight its vitality and will fade later as the wood “greys”.

Usage
As rails and slats for wooden trellises with associated fixings. For small trellises, the 26/26 slats can also be used as ‘rails’. For each slat, we recommend fixing at a minimum of three points to compensate for or prevent warping/bending. Short rails and slats up to approx. 2 m in length can also be fixed at two points, provided that a certain degree of curvature is tolerated as "rustic".
The glued ("finger-jointed") areas are treated in the same way as solid wood, meaning that these areas can be sawn or drilled for fixings without hesitation.
