Green Leipzig – Northern Suburbs

This concerns the former suburbs of the city of Leipzig, specifically those that have since been incorporated into the city.

The northern suburbs of Leipzig

In some of these villages, there is evidence of extensive greenery, mostly vine trellises, which subsequently disappeared as urbanisation progressed. Please note the source references provided beneath many of the images.
