In the workshop area, here is something specifically for the rope tensioner that doesn't need a person cutting lines. A purchase of 1 - 2 of these items is recommended when appropriate vises, clamps, locking pliers or similar are not already available for the user... The number of each necessary vice (1 or 2 pieces) can be found in the 'kits, ' see below, please click here, if necessary. For price reasons, alternatives for 2nd vice are possible.
In Light, Medium, Heavy and Massive kits the stretched ropes end are pressed behind each wall bracket between the jaws of the vice (02). Now the ropes can be stretched, pulled in and around the vise (03), and next the grub screws of the respective cross-holders are then inserted, tightened and thus fix a tensioned state permanently.
For kits with cross holders on outside corners it occurs sometimes that two ropes intersect at the holder and must be streamlined at the same time. Then two vices are really required. If you are working alone, the service of the vice to adhere, at one of the cables already in a streamlined state directly behind the cross bracket (05), without the necessity of the grub screw being screwed into the holder. Then can then second rope be relocated and streamlined (Figure 06), the set screw is inserted and assumes the fixation of both cables, and the vice is removed.
When mounting clamping rings on wire ropes that are freestanding growth installations, the vice is used as protection against tilting or twisting of the terminal (Figure 07). Please use if necessary, the general information about our tools available.
