Green Leipzig – Eastern Suburbs

This section focuses on the eastern suburbs of the medieval city of Leipzig. These were all small villages that gradually became more urbanised and were incorporated into Leipzig.

There used to be a great many vine trellises here, all of which disappeared as a result of urbanisation and development. Please note the source references beneath many of the images.
