Curtain-like Outer Greening (Suspended Cables)

This page belongs to the 'insulation' and shows an alternative in the event that it appears impossible to attach growth elements directly on the wall. Then an outer cover may sometimes also be made to curtain-ish ropes like system 0010. Thus, an insulation can be virtually free of contact bridge with trellises. If necessary, you can even insert intersecting floppy horizontal ropes, analogous to cable system 5050. Ultimately, however, it is with this type of cable bracing that is usually a last resort, direct attachment to the wall is to be preferred!

Endurance and Price

Such biased ropes are usually relatively long and thus only low to medium loads. Strong snaking plants like Wisteria, Knotweed and Celastrus  are discouraged. The price per cable strand is about 25 - 30 euros if each cable has separate ground anchors.

Suitable Wall Bracket

Only 3 mm rope similar to easy and middle kits should be used. If a roof overhang exists, can be (conditionally also WH 06061) fixed ropes and led to the ground with eyelet screws WH 07080. There you must mount on ground anchors EA 12800 or fix with the wall brackets above by bonding mortar VM 00300 in a concrete board or point foundation. Each strand of rope should be analogous to cable system 0010 special form using a cable tensioner.

On many buildings, it is possible to mount wall bracket on a non-insulated basement base, in which case usually one has problems with the gaps the wall. If necessary, parapets of balconies and terraces can serve as anchor points for the exterior landscaping, then the ropes are held there about by bands.

Assembly and Maintenance

An assembly sequence can be found at 0060 cable system (special form). The distance to the wall should be at least 1/30 amount to the cable length so that the cables do not hit against the wall in the wind. The plants are cut so that no branches grow back to the wall and possibly scratch the plaster. And at the top no shoots are allowed to grow into the eaves.
