Clematis viticella "Alba luxurians"

An old variety introduced to Great Britain ca. 1900 by Robert Veitch & Son, with bell-shaped, bright white flowers and a dark centre. At the beginning of flowering, in cool weather, and with some sunlight, the flowers develop ornamental veins with dashes of green ~ the "luxurians." Blooms profusely into autumn. For trellises up to about 4 metres high. Flower size: 5 – 7 cm, and even larger in good conditions. Flowering time June to September.
