Clematis viticella "Alba luxurians"

An old variety introduced to Great Britain ca. 1900 by Robert Veitch & Son, with bell-shaped, bright white flowers and a dark centre. Especially at the beginning of flowering, in cool weather and with little sunshine, the flowers develop ornamental veins with dashes of green. Flowers very abundantly into autumn. For trellises up to about 4 metres high. Flower size: 5 – 7 cm, and even larger in good conditions. Flowering time June to September.
