When can I use a Mini-Kit?

Mini Kits are designed for private as well as professional use, for small to medium sized areas. Due to their low load capacity, Mini Kits are only compatible with some climbing plants-- smaller clematis and annuals, for example. If you have already chosen a plant for your facade, consult our section on climbing plants to see if it is compatible with a Mini cable system; you can also look under Planning for more support.

Wall Mount / Wall Type

Mini Kits are compatible with many different wall types, and are especially appropriate for special facades and prefab-garages; you can do without the rawl plug and assemble directly into framework, panels, or pergolas. 'Minis' are less suitable for plastered masonry due to the shallow anchorage. Our Mini Kit includes eyelet nails NA 04060 with 4mm shafts (with rawl plugs), thin 2 (1.8) mm wire rope, and simplex clamps used to fix looped wire rope to the eyelet. Rope tensioners and thimbles are not necessary and are not included. For self assembled kits, an alternative to eyelet nails are staple nails KN 04055, but keep in mind, these provide no wall clearance (gap between plants and wall).

Installation

Instructions on how to mount Easy Kits can be found in the main section 'Wire Rope Systems: Installation. Also check to see if you are equipped with all the necessary tools for assembly.
