Medium Kit „Eco“

Our Eco wire rope system is one of 3 sub-variants of our Medium construction style. It is particularly 'eco'nomical. You can order pre-assembled medium eco kits or assemble your own in our online shop.

  • streamlined and attractive

  • significantly lower price mark

  • for 3 mm wire rope and light to medium loads

  • wall distance: 5 cm

  • sufficient stability; reducing the distance between cross mounts increases the load capacity (at least 1 metre apart)

  • stainless steel AISI 304, wire rope AISI 316

  • metric thread M8, rear wood thread W7

  • standard mount WH 08111

  • no special mounts for insulation or other difficult surfaces

  • only cross mounts, no combination with eyelet screws possible

  • up to 2 wire ropes can be fixed in the cross head, making some systems (5060) unsuitable

Instructions for the assembly of Medium Kits are to be followed with the diagrams on the page of each respective cable system. Also, make sure that you have all the necessary tools for assembly.

Wall Mount / Wall Type

Eco Kits are suitable for almost any surface, especially for wooden constructions like pergolas, etc.. (then without rawl plugs). Eco Kits always include the cross mount WH 08111 with rawl plugs.

When can I use a Medium Eco System?

Our Medium Eco variant is recommended for use in private and semi-public areas, for trellising grapevines and many other climbing plants, sometimes even for vigorously growing roses. Eco systems are an inexpensive alternative when a medium-range wall distance is desired but with only weaker climbing plants like clematis and annuals, hops, honeysuckle and potted plants. If you reduce the span between the cross mounts from, say 1.5 m to 1.0 m, then the Eco guarantees comparable stability to the Classic Medium variant. Also, the desire for reduced drilling diameter and depth can be a decisive factor in choosing this style/kit.

When assembling at greater heights with heavier loads, or in public areas (due to vandalism), one should definitely go with a Heavy or Massive system. Please also refer to the general Planning guidelines.

Wire rope system 3050 modified, grape vine. In this case, the Eco Kit is sufficient due to the spacing between the mounts (approx. 1 m)
