Please use the general tips on the fastening of espaliers. A lower priced possibility of a permament corrosion-free wall fastening of customary wooden espaliers and especially for bars of classical wooden espaliers on walls with insulation (variant 01). Also for the bridging of light wall coverings (variant 02). Useable up to 6 cm insulation board thickness, with support cone up to 12 cm (variant 03). Without cutting facade open. The width of the material of the wooden parts to be fastened should account for at least 27 - 30 mm due to the required bore of 12 mm, in order to retain the cross section. The wall spacing (gap) is about 2 - 4 cm, depending on the shank length (see below). The actual wall spacing arises from the wall gap and the amount of the unscrewed cross sections. In the case of a battening 27/27 mm, it may account for up to 10 cm. In the case of broader espaliers with a spacing of about 0.6 to 1.0 m (depending on the thickness and bending of the wood corss section), place a bolt anchor into the bar, respectively.The wall gap should account for as less as possible, meaning about 20 mm for static reasons. The column "masonry with plaster" is to be used, if the insulation is mounted on an old building with exterior rendering (underneath the insulation). Various lengths according to the item numbers of the chart; the 3rd and 4th numer state the shank length in cm. In the practice cases the additional length of 1 cm for the reinforced exterior rendering, and the adhesive layer of WDVS are already considered. The column "masonry with plaster" is to be used only, if the insulation is mounted subsequently on an old building with exterior rendering. Please note: The chart is valid for the fastening of espalier bars of about 30 cm thickness. If delicate prefab espaliers with a thinkness of only 10 mm are to be mounted instead, respectively 20 mm shorter anchor screws need to be chosen. The thickness of the insulation is meant to be the sheer insulating course. Within the length of the shank, about 1 cm reserve needs to be left additionally for the adhesive layer and plaster.

 Mounting for an insulation up to about 6 cm (variant 01)

Please note the check list on drilling operations and the instructions of the component mortar, if necessary. For optimum sealing, the substratum should be rather even or sanded.  The wooden parts to be fastened receive a through-hole of 12 mm at the respective fastening points, the wall receives a bore of 14 mm, or even better 16 mm, in order to fill a broader annular gap with badly thermoconductive component mortar (recess of the direct contact of the anchor screw and the substratum, reduction of thermal bridge). The bore depth should be about 10 - 13 cm depending on the wished wall spacing. In the case of hollow masonry use additional perforated sleeves extra long SD 16130,  drill hole of about 16 mm and a depth of about 140 mm. Turn the flexible parts of the anchor screw forward, incise the component mortar, insert the turning shank, position it and  protect it from possible sag during the setting process of the mortar. Oozing out mortar needs to be wiped clean. After the setting, push the covering plate along with the seal to the wall and push it carefully through one of the two thin nuts, till only a thin joint is visible between the covering plate and the wall. This optimum condition will be permanently fixed by screwing the thin nuts together with the help of jaw spanners. Afterwards, the respective bar can be placed between both spring washers and nuts at the front shank of the anchor screw. 


Mounting for Wall Coverings (variant 02)

Similar to variant 01. Bore through the outer boards about 16 - 20 mm  and caulk the anchor screw exactly in the middle of the rear, load-bearing wall, so that there will be almost no contact and pressure to the covering after the mounting and under loading (bending). In this case also place an inner support cone, if necessary. Push the seal towards it and screw it together as described in variant 01.

Rear view: In the case of the AS 12XX2 series for thermal insulation, the sealing disc is made of a 5 mm special foam, so that even with low pressure of the adjusting nut, a seal is achieved on the low-pressure base.
