The “Künstlerhaus” has already undergone several transformations. It is situated in the middle of a former large marshalling yard and used to be a staff building belonging to Deutsche Bahn, complete with a canteen. It now provides accommodation for artists and is also used for events. Its external walls are not insulated. It is worth noting how carefully the recently planted greenery was treated during the 2025 renovation works, ensuring that it has every chance of continuing to thrive even after being heavily pruned.
